IFN - Management Board
FOREWORD
The motto of this year’s annual report is ‘90 years of IFN’. IFN was founded as a one-man company in 1931 (90 years ago) by Eduard Klinger (Sr.). His core values still shape our corporate culture even today. His life’s motto, ‘Live and let live’, shaped a culture of sustain-able entrepreneurship long before the commitment to sustainability was enshrined in law.
Throughout the company’s history, IFN has been confronted with challenging general conditions. The past two years have largely been shaped by a global pandemic. Recent weeks have seen the challenges thrown up by the coronavirus compounded by a war in Eastern Europe. With Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Europe has been deeply affected in its core values. This invasion will affect the whole world, but especially Europe, and it is impossible to assess the full extent at the present time. We at IFN are taking the same approach as last year. We are not allowing ourselves to be unsettled by the uncertainty caused by the virus or conflicts. We are protecting our employ-ees and will continue to do what we do best – producing innovative windows, doors, solar shading and façades of the highest quality.
At the beginning of 2022, IFN was expanded to include another company operating in the online sales segment. By acquiring a majority stake in Neuffer, IFN has acquired a company that has 150 years of history and keeps pace with the times with its online business model. This acquisition further strengthened the online sales segment in IFN’s core markets. We are confident that IFN can continue to develop successfully in Europe in 2022, even under the given general conditions. The energy efficiency of buildings will continue to gain in importance due to the clear climate targets in Europe.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, employees, suppliers and business partners for the excellent cooper-ation and the trust they place in us.
